INPUD-IO-Link (Inductive Power and Data Transmission with stationary-side IO-Link interface) is used for contactless transmission of electrical energy to operate sensors in a rotating unit. Measured values from up to two sensors, e.g.
for detection of a linear traverse path, are filtered internally, digitized and transmitted contactlessly to the stator. Based on inductive coupling, this process is wear-free and independent of rotational speed. The transfer takes place within the
induction field. Load fluctuations on the rotor side or air gap variations are automatically detected and corrected by the system. INPUD-IO-link is connected directly to a standard IO-Link master module.
